Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website www.rlzed.com ("Site") or engaging with Rlzed ("we," "us," or "our") for product development, sourcing, or manufacturing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Scope of Services

Rlzed provides end-to-end hardware development services, including but not limited to:

  • Industrial Design and Engineering

  • Supplier Sourcing and Verification

  • Prototyping and Tooling (Mold Making)

  • Mass Production Management

  • Quality Control (QC) and Logistics

3. Quotes and Estimates

  • Validity: Unless otherwise stated, all quotes provided by Rlzed are valid for 30 days.

  • Fluctuations: Manufacturing costs are subject to change based on raw material prices, currency exchange rates, and final design modifications. We reserve the right to adjust estimates before the final contract is signed.

4. Intellectual Property (IP) & Ownership

We respect your innovation. Our IP policy is simple: You pay for it, you own it.

  • Client Ownership: Upon full payment of all fees, you retain 100% ownership of the final product design, engineering files (CAD), and the physical molds (tooling).

  • Rlzed Rights: We retain the right to use the project for our portfolio or marketing materials only with your written permission. We will never sell or share your designs with other clients.

5. Payment Terms

Unless a specific contract states otherwise, our standard payment terms for manufacturing projects are:

  • Design & Prototyping: 100% upfront.

  • Tooling (Molds): 50% deposit to start, 50% upon T1 sample approval.

  • Mass Production: 30% deposit to start production, 70% balance paid after QC inspection and before shipment (FOB/Ex-Works).

6. Prototyping and "Golden Sample"

  • Approval: Mass production will not begin until you have approved a "Golden Sample" (a final, perfect prototype).

  • Tolerances: Manufacturing involves physical materials. Minor variations (industry standard tolerances) between the sample and mass production units are normal and acceptable, provided they do not affect functionality or aesthetics.

7. Shipping and Customs

  • Delivery: We offer various shipping terms (Ex-Works, FOB, DDP).

  • Delays: While we strive to meet all deadlines, Rlzed is not liable for delays caused by third-party logistics carriers, customs inspections, force majeure (e.g., natural disasters), or global supply chain disruptions.

  • Customs Duties: Unless you choose DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping, the client is responsible for all import duties and taxes in their destination country.

8. Quality Assurance & Returns

  • Inspection: We conduct rigorous on-site QC. We encourage clients to hire third-party inspectors (like SGS or Intertek) before the final balance payment.

  • Defects: If products are found to be defective upon arrival due to manufacturing errors, you must notify us within 14 days of receipt. We will repair, replace, or refund the defective units based on a mutual investigation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rlzed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or business interruption) arising from the use of our services or products.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of Hong Kong

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about IP protection, MOQs, and timelines

Is my Intellectual Property (IP) safe?

We sign a strict NDA enforced in both the US and China before we start. We also separate manufacturing steps to protect key designs.

What are your MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities)?

It depends on the product complexity, but we negotiate with factories to lower the barrier for the first batch, typically starting from 500-1000 units.

How long does the process take?

For Plan C (Full Dev), it typically takes 3-5 months from sketch to first mass production unit. Sourcing projects can be as fast as 3-4 weeks.

I only have a rough idea. Can you help?

Yes. Our "From Sketch to Scale" service is designed exactly for this. We help you refine the concept, create 3D models, and make it manufacturable.

How do you ensure product quality?

We don't rely on remote photos. Our local team conducts on-site inspections during production and before shipping to ensure zero defects.

Do you handle shipping and customs?

Yes, we provide DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping. We handle all logistics, customs clearance, and duties directly to your warehouse or Amazon FBA.
