Who owns the molds (tooling) after I pay for them?
You do. 100%. Once the tooling fee is paid, the molds are your proprietary assets. We can store and maintain them at our partner factory for future production runs, or we can arrange to have them shipped to a location of your choice. We will never use your molds for other clients.
What is your DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process?
Before we cut any steel, our engineers conduct a comprehensive DFM review. We analyze draft angles, wall thickness, and parting lines to optimize the design for mass production. This step minimizes defect rates and often reduces per-unit costs by simplifying the assembly process.
What is the guaranteed lifespan of the molds?
It depends on the steel grade used (e.g., P20, 718, or NAK80). Typically, our standard production molds are guaranteed for 300,000 to 500,000 shots. For high-volume projects, we recommend hardened steel molds valid for 1 million+ shots.
Quality Assurance
What QC standards do you follow?
We strictly adhere to the international AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) standard. Typically, we use Level II, AQL 2.5 for Major defects and 4.0 for Minor defects. For high-precision electronics, we can implement stricter AQL 1.0 or 0.65 standards upon request.
What happens if I receive defective products?
We stand by our quality. If defects exceed the agreed AQL rate upon arrival, please notify us within 14 days with photo/video evidence. We will conduct a root cause analysis and offer either a refund for the defective units or free replacements in the next shipment
Can I hire a 3rd-party inspection agency (like SGS/Intertek)?
Absolutely. We welcome 3rd-party inspections. We will coordinate with your appointed inspectors (SGS, TUV, Intertek) to visit the factory before the final balance payment is released. Transparency is our core value.
Payment & Terms
What are your standard payment terms?
For tooling (molds), we require a 50% deposit to start and 50% upon T1 sample approval. For mass production orders, the standard is 30% deposit to initiate production and 70% balance after QC inspection and before shipment.
Do you offer credit terms for repeat orders?
We value long-term partnerships. For established clients with a consistent order history of over 12 months, we can discuss flexible payment terms, such as Net 30, subject to credit approval.
Is the initial prototyping fee refundable?
Yes, in most cases. We treat prototyping as a deposit of good faith. If you proceed with a mass production order that meets the agreed MOQ (e.g., order value over $5,000), we will deduct the prototyping fee from your final invoice. This effectively makes the sample free for serious buyers.
Logistics
Can you handle specialized certifications (FCC, CE, UL)?
Yes. We ensure the factories we source comply with the necessary certifications for your target market. We can coordinate the testing process with certified labs to obtain CE, FCC, RoHS, or UL documentation under your brand name.
I have my own freight forwarder. Can I buy Ex-Works (EXW)?
Yes, we are flexible. We can quote you EXW (you handle pickup), FOB (we deliver to the port), or DDP (we handle everything to your door). You can choose the term that fits your logistics strategy best.
Can you consolidate shipments from other suppliers?
Yes. We can act as your central logistics hub in China. If you source packaging or accessories from other factories, we can receive, inspect, and consolidate them into a single shipment with our products. This significantly reduces your shipping costs and simplifies customs clearance documentation.
